Goals
1) Alleviate hardship caused by water poverty by funding the construction of wells in the developing world
Well-Good works to improve access to clean water by funding the construction of wells in water-scarce regions. To date, the charity has supported many projects around the world, helping address a crisis that affects approximately 750 million people who lack access to safe drinking water (one in nine people). Additionally, around 2.5 billion people live without proper sanitation, contributing to nearly one million preventable deaths each year. These projects provide lasting solutions that transform lives and communities.
2) Develop the mathematical skills of local kids
Well-Good platform allows children to practise and improve their numeracy through meaningful engagement. Pupils answer basic maths questions designed to help them practise times tables, decimals, negative numbers, and other essential maths skills. With millions of questions answered correctly so far, the initiative connects classroom effort with real-world impact: every ten correct answers equate to one day of clean water for someone in need.
3) Foster charitable values and kindness in British kids
Well-Good offers a space where children’s learning directly benefits others. The knowledge that their effort provides water to those in need reinforces life-long values such as empathy, compassion, and social responsibility. Research also shows that acts of kindness positively affect mental health, making this initiative valuable both educationally and emotionally.
4) Raise awareness of climate change
Well-Good highlights the connection between water scarcity and climate change, helping people understand how environmental issues affect access to clean water. Through its educational approach, the charity encourages children to think about sustainability and the impact on vulnerable communities. By linking local learning with global challenges, the initiative inspires new generations to care for the environment and take positive action.
